Water Pump
A water pump is a mechanical device used to transport or pressurize liquids. It transfers mechanical energy from a prime mover or other external energy source to the liquid, increasing its energy. The main function of a water pump is to use the rotation of an impeller to generate centrifugal force, lifting the liquid from a low point to a high point. It is widely used in various fields.

Introduction
A pump is a mechanical device used to transport liquids or increase liquid pressure. It transfers the mechanical energy or other external energy of the prime mover to the liquid, increasing its energy. The main function of a pump is to generate centrifugal force through the rotation of the impeller, lifting the liquid from a low point to a high point, and is widely used in various fields.
Working principle:
The working principle of a pump is mainly to use a power device (such as an electric motor) to drive the impeller to rotate, thereby generating centrifugal force. When the impeller rotates, the liquid between the blades also rotates, and under the action of centrifugal force, it is thrown out of the impeller and into the pump casing. As the liquid is continuously thrown out, a low-pressure area is formed at the center of the impeller, and the external liquid is sucked into the center of the impeller under the action of atmospheric pressure, thereby achieving continuous liquid transport.
Types and classifications
Pumps can be divided into various types according to their working principles and structural characteristics, including:
Centrifugal pumps: The most widely used, with advantages such as simple structure, convenient operation, and high efficiency.
Agitator: Ensures that the reagents are evenly mixed in the solution tank.
Axial flow pumps: Mainly used for transporting liquids with large flow rates and low heads, such as agricultural irrigation and drainage, and urban water supply.
Mixed flow pumps: The performance is between centrifugal pumps and axial flow pumps, suitable for transporting liquids with moderate flow rate and head.
In addition, pumps can also be classified according to various factors such as pump shaft direction, casing split type, number of stages, suction type, material, structural form, use, and drive method.
Application scenarios:
Pumps are widely used in various fields, including:
Agricultural irrigation: Drawing groundwater or river water sources for irrigation.
Construction engineering: Used for concrete conveying, building drainage, fire fighting systems, etc.
Industrial production: Transporting various liquids, such as oil, chemical raw materials, liquid ammonia, etc.
Wastewater treatment: Pumping wastewater to a treatment plant for treatment.
Domestic water supply: Supplying residents with domestic water, such as household water pumps and public water pumps.
Mining: Used for drainage, slurry transport, cooling, etc.
