Introduction
I. Product Features
REOKO 581 layup corrosion inhibitor features high technical sophistication in providing safe and effective corrosion protection. It is highly soluble and volatile in water, enabling effective protection even for recessed areas of ferrous and aluminum equipment. It serves as an ideal choice for wet or dry layup protection during short-term or long-term equipment shutdowns, with a protective validity period of up to 24 months, capable of sustaining vapor-phase, liquid-phase and vapor-liquid mixed-phase protection.
As a liquid composite product, it is dosed according to the system volume for the dry or wet layup of boilers, and can provide protection for various closed or semi-closed systems. Once the package is opened, the product should be added to the protected system immediately, and can be pumped into the system via hoses.
The protective efficacy of REOKO 581 will diminish over time and be affected by the system's sealing conditions. When its protective function is exhausted and prolonged equipment protection is required, additional dosing of the inhibitor is necessary. No special removal is required before putting the equipment back into service—it can be restarted directly.
II. Physical and Chemical Properties
Appearance: Colorless or pale yellow transparent liquid
pH Value (1% aqueous solution): ≥12
Metal Protection: Carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum
Solubility: Fully soluble in water
III. Product Application
Layup Protection: REOKO 581 layup corrosion inhibitor is suitable for dry or wet protection of boilers, heat exchangers, pipelines and other equipment. For short-term layup, the dosage is 1.0–3.0 kg per cubic meter; for long-term layup, the dosage is 2.0–5.0 kg per cubic meter. Seal the equipment immediately after dosing.
Agent Removal: If REOKO 581 needs to be removed, the aqueous solution of the agent can be simply rinsed off with cold water.

We recommend you request this document from our company or local agents as needed at any time, and thoroughly read and familiarize yourself with all safety precautions for product use before application.
IV. Packaging and Storage
This product is packaged in 1000kg IBC totes or customized packaging according to customer requirements. It should be stored in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight, with a shelf life of 12 months under proper storage conditions, and transported as general goods.
