On September 13, Unit 1 of the 2x1000 MW Jiangxi Xinyu Phase II 2x1000 MW Off-site Expansion Project, surveyed and designed by Power Construction Corporation of China Guangdong Institute and constructed by Tianjin Power Construction, successfully passed the 168-hour trial run.
The project is located in Baisha Village, Liangshan Town, Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province. The project has a planned capacity of 4x1000 MW, with the current phase constructing two 1000 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired generating units, along with flue gas desulfurization and denitrification facilities.
This project is a key construction project in Jiangxi Province, a major project in Xinyu's 14th Five-Year Plan, the first coal-fired power generation and photovoltaic collaborative development project in China, and the first million-kilowatt coal-fired power generation unit in Jiangxi Province along the Haoji Railway. It has significant strategic energy significance and is expected to yield remarkable economic benefits.
The project uses China's most advanced secondary reheating ultra-supercritical coal-fired generating units, with high parameters, low coal consumption, and ultra-clean emissions. The design annual operating hours are 4950 hours, with a standard coal consumption of 261.8 g/kWh, reaching the advanced level of similar projects.
After completion, it is expected to generate 10 billion kWh of electricity annually. This will be important for further optimizing the province's power generation layout, enhancing the power supply reliability and stability of Jiangxi, especially the western part of the province, and promoting local economic and social development.
